The ‘Silicon Milkroundabout’ brand is heading to Cambridge!

In this months GQ Magazine supplement Stephen Bayley in his piece ‘RIP IT UP AND START AGAIN’ says “Very few things are certain about creativity, but a fixed point in any definition is a commitment to disruption. Plus an appetite for surprise as well as courage, energy, enthusiasm, a hardened response to criticism and an unassuagable appetite for doing it differently”.

The Milkroundabout brand is certainly doing things differently!

It is estimated that the two events thus far have saved more than £2m in recruitment fees in filling 168 posts at 133 startups. Furthermore the dynamic is spreading.

Whilst the Financial Times ran the headline  ‘Recruiters worried by fall in City job vacancies’ at the weekend and detailed the negative news as reported by Morgan McKinley that ‘new vacancies in the City were down 57 per cent last month compared with a year ago’ something is stirring in Cambridge!

On Saturday 28th April 2012 at the University Arms Hotel , Tom Adeyoola, CEO of Metail, is organising ‘Milkroundabout Cambridge’. Over 35 companies including QuBit Digital, Merchenta, Bromium, Blendology and Songkick will be attending!

Supported by Songkick’s COO Pete Smith, Tom’s passion is clear “We felt that Cambridge needed something similar to drive awareness of the technology startup as a real alternative to the banks and the big engineering and development companies”.

We are delighted to support the event aimed at those looking for a new challenge and the potential to be hired by a ‘disruptive’ startup forming part of the ecosystem driving the economy!
